  • Can Permanent Residency Be Revoked After a Divorce?

    Hello,

    This is Marcus,

    I'm originally from Brazil,
I've got married to a US citizen and we got officially divorced after one year and three months after getting my conditional green card (of two years),
Based on the law here in the USA, can my Permanent Residency Be Revoked After a Divorce ?
What are options I have when applying for removing conditions on my Permanent Residency ?

Looking forward to hearing back from you

    Thanks much

    Regards
    Marcus

You can apply for Removal of Conditions yourself based on divorce. You can apply as soon as the divorce is final; you do not have to wait until 90 days before 2 years.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

No. Your status is between you and the government and your wife has no say over it.
