Hello,
I am an Indian citizen and came to US in November 2012. After hearing all the stories about difficulties in getting the NOCs from the 3 Indian departments (MHRD, passport office and state Government), I applied for them when I went to India in March 2016 (I was in my 4th year of J1 visa). I received them in July, 2016, but could not apply for J1 waiver till I get my J1 extension which happened in October. But then I got to know that it can be difficult to get J1 stamping after I get my J1 waiver since it shows my intension to immigrate. So I want to get my stamping from India before I apply for J1 waiver. Does anyone know if the three NOCs get outdated after a certain period of time?
