travel document for Green card holder

I applied for travel document on 9/13. I got a notice that they received my fingerprint fee on 9/16. on 10/19, I had fingerprint done. Today 12/16, it is the end of 3 months. I called the USCIS customer service to ask if it is possible to get it before my travel date which is 12/21, but they told me to call back on 12/19 if I do not see an update on their website about my case status. Now , I am worried that I will have to cancel my trip or change it.
Does any body who applied in September receive their cards already?

you can travel with your green card. I just got mine and finally going back to Colombia after 24 years. Just traveling with my green card and Colombian passport.
