  • H4 Visa - 221(g)

    Hi Group Memebers,
In need of urgent assistance. If anybody from group has suggestions please share

My wife appeared for F1 interview in July 2016 (She wasn't married then) and got rejected. We
got engaged around same time and got married in Nov 2016. She appeared for H4 visa interview
    and was asked following:

    1) when did you get married?
    Ans: Nov

    2) When did you get engaged
    Ans: July 2016

3)Did you apply for F1 visa around July 2016 and got rejected
    Ans: Yes

4)What's the name of employer of your spouse?
    Ans: YYYY X

Visa officer left the desk and spoke to his colleague and came back with 221g. They kept her passport.

Today we have got a mail to appear back for visa interview on 6th Jan 2017. Anybody who have been
through similar situations and familiar with what kind of questions might be asked during second
    interview?

Appreciate your help in this regard.

    Thanks!
    Naresh.

Dont see a reason to worry, unless the F1 was for a black listed university or you have not been maintaining H1 status.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
