L1B is maxing out in April 30,2017 and my MS program admission is in progress.

I am on L1B visa and my I-94 expiration date is Oct 30,2017. However, my VISA is maxing out by April 30, 2017. Meanwhile, my MS program admission is in progress. Looks like I might not get I-20 approved before April 30, 2017. Am I legally allowed to stay after April 30, 2017, as I have I-94 until Oct 30,2017? If I stay, would it affect my change of status to F1 approval once I-20 is approved?

You are good to be on L1 status till 9/25/2017.
