Hello,
i have a question that i am not able to find the answer on anywhere. if someone can provide me with me the answer, i will be greatly appreciated.
i had H1b approved in 2011 then changed my status to F1 in 2014. now i m on my OPT expires this year in July. my employer is going to apply H1b which i believe will fall under H1b transfer. in this case, does my employer need to apply the effective date as the date after OPT expires? do i get any H1b cap gap extension? can i continue working pass OPT valid after i receive the h1b application receipt?
any answers will be helpful. hope that someone has gone through this.
