Travelling on H4 without renewing

Hi All,

I have a stamped H4 visa till june 2017 based on my husband's old employer. My husband switched to a new employer and got his visa stamped till 2019.
I would like to travel in the month of april 2017 on H4 as my employer withdrew my pending 221G H1B petition due to the delay.
I am planning to travel along with my husband and his original i797 doc and apply for H4 Extension once i reach US.
If i would travel without renewing the H4 and have only 2 months to expire my H4 will there be any chances of rejection at the port of entry?
Could anyone please share your inputs ?.

Shouldn't be a problem. Furthermore, if you present your husband's new petition at entry, you should be admitted until the expiration of his new petition. You shouldn't need to do an Extension of Status after entry.
