Dear All,
As a child I was granted permanent residence status of Canada. However, I did not fulfill the 2 out of 5 year commitment due to school and national scholarship reasons as I had to stay in my home country if I took up the scholarship. The PR is now expired and I do not intend to migrate to Canada.
I am now married and my husband has been accepted by a medical school for Residency Training under the Physician Program, J-1 Visa Program. My question is would I be able to apply for a J-2 visa so that I can accompany my husband on his residency training in the U.S? Would there be any complication based on what I mentioned above?
Looking forward to your responses.
Thank you.
