Visitor Visa stay Extension Question

We have filed extension request for our preants visitor visa stay. The earlier I-94 is going to extend in Nov. Can someone encountered same situation and help me to answer following question.

1) What should be doing if we don't receive approval/deniel before expiry of I-94?

2) In case, we stay if don't receive approval/deniel before expiry of I-94 then could there be any problem in next visit.

Most people don't receive their approval/denial letter before the expiration of current I-94.

As long as you have filed the extension before the expiration of current I-94, the person can legally stay in the US and that itself will not cause any problem during next visit.

However, extension filing itself can cause future problem. Immigration officer may conclude that the person is staying here too much and may not be allowed to enter next time.
