Applying for citizenship

I am eligible to apply for citizenship. I live in bay area and am going to India for a month to meet my parents from last week of June till 4th week of July 2017. Should I apply now for the citizenship or should I wait till I come back?

What are the typical times now (after applying) for
1) finger printing
2) citizenship interview

Hi!

From my understanding, they schedule you for the fingerprints approximately a month after so I would suggest you to stay until you get that done.
