Hi,
I'm on TN and working here in the states (Canadian Citizen). My wife and kid lives with me, and has a TD status. They are both Canadian PR.
They plan to go overseas for a vacation next year. Do they need to apply for a new TD visa from the US consulate when returning back to the US, even if their I-94 is still valid?
One option I'm thinking, if there will be such hassle in securing their visa for re-entry to the US, is to fly from/back to Toronto airport, and cross the border to the US. Since they are Canadian PR, I think there will be no problem with their flight. My only concern is crossing the border, US immigration might ask for a new visa to issue new I-94 for them (or maybe they can use their existing I-94?).
Thanks
