Hi all,
I'm currently in contact with a prospective employer who would like to offer me a traineeship through a J-1.
He has a small video production company and has zero full-time employees.
He got really put off by this eligibility quiz offered by "Cultural Vistas": https://fs2.formsite.com/AIPT10400/f...?1457044765198
As you can notice the second question they ask is whether or not your company has 5 full-time working employees. If your answer is no you can't continue your application.
However I've read on other websites that the sponsor must have 5 full-time working employees only in the case he/she wants to hire more than one trainee/intern.
Who is telling the truth here? Can a US company sponsor a j1 applicant even though it doesn't have 5 full-time employees?
Thanks in advance,
Tommaso
