Dear Sir/Madam,
This is regarding one of my friends case. Since 5 years my friend is working in USA on H1B VISA. And recently they came to know that one of his kid is suffering from Leukemia cancer and she is undergoing treatment in USA. Doctors told if she will be on medication and under doctors observation it will be cured in two years. Unfortunately my friends six years will completed this year end with H1B VISA. As per US VISA rules person has to return to their country after six years. My question, is there anyway to extend the H1B VISA for another an year till his daughters treatment completes for two years. We consulted our company for processing green card (I-140) but company has denied to apply. Is there any way to extend VISA by showing medical condition of the child ?
