I am a permanent resident through marriage and intend on going back to my home country to finish my college. I will leave in September and be back in the states in June next year. Should I get a reEntry permit before I leave or since I'm going to be absent for less than 1 year I don't need it? Thank you.

Given the possibility of your stay outside extending a year or longer, it is a good idea to have the Reentry Permit to protect your Green Card status.
