  • Child of L2 visa holder, how to apply for EAD in the US?

    Hi,

I'm a child of an L2 visa holder (my dad), and I am 18 years old. I wanted to find out if I could be elligible to work in the US under the L2 visa? Also, do I have to get an EAD? If so, how do I go about applying for it?

    Thank you

You can't. You said your dad was on L2. Is he the L2 spouse of your mom on L1? or is he an L2 child of his parent (your grandparent) on L1? If he is the L2 spouse of your mom on L1, you could get L2 as the child of your mom, but L2 children cannot work in the US.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

If you have L2 visa, you cannot work in US. Only spouse L2 can work, not children.
