Recently, my OPT had also been denied due to my application reaching USCIS more than 30 days after my DSO had entered the recommendation. After that with some advice from an attorney I have left for India and got my H-4 visa approved. I will be applying for my H-4 EAD as soon as I return to the USA. However, my husband's H1-B is till end of October 2017 and I will also get H-4EAD till then.
I would like advice on the best way to proceed so as to not have a gap between the work period. Can I apply for an EAD extension without an approved EAD, but only with a receipt of application. I will be applying for extension along with my husband's H-1B extension, would this help in processing my application faster as the usual extension approval time is 6months.
Can someone also help me with the timelines for application for EAD and it's extension?
PS: I have a job offer and they are hesitant to wait for the 3 months that it takes for me to get my EAD.
