J1 Visa port of entry and exit

I will be flying to USA on J1 Visa.

Can I have different port of entry and exit?


My port of entry is NY.
I am planning to visit family in LA and so planing to fly out from LAX.

Will this cause any issue?

Yes, it does not matter if your POE and exit are different.
