  • Help me please - Parents Immigration and Health Insurance

My parents have green cards and will be moving for good to the USA for good in a couple of months. They obviously don't qualify for Medicare as they have not worked or paid taxes here. What insurance can i get for them ? I looked at insbuy/new immigrant section but it asks for "please testify that you don't qualify for Affordable Care Act". How do I know whether they qualify for that or not ? What is the litmus test ? Is the question referring to whether they qualify for obama care subsidies that kick is 100-400 of FPL ?

Could someone please help me by suggesting a good product that I can buy for them.

    I live in TN.

    Thanks a million

to know what plans they can have you would have to answer some questions.
    what is their ages?
when did they get their green card? if they have had it for 5 years or more then they are eligible for Medicare (they will just have to pay for it)
If they are under 65 then they would be eligible to purchase a domestic plan. you would have to call different domestic insurance companies to find out when they would be eligible.
another option is to call Insubuy and go over the options over the phone.
This is my opinion not legal advice.
