is P4 must for attending medicals..

Hi,
Iam planning to attend medicals on monday(Dec 4th) & tuesday( Dec 5th) in Chennai.
If i don't get my P4 before this friday(dec 1st), i will not be having P4 for medicals. Cheannai gives duplicate P4 only on tuesday - friday.
Does anybody on this board know whether it is a absolute must to have P4 before medicals.

Yes, you need appointment letter from consulate to do medicals.
