  • Can L1 Visa be granted, and then Spouse and Children apply for L2 a month later?

    Hello,

I am due to request a L1 visa via a blanket petition via my employer. This should go through in the next couple of weeks.

The problem I have is that while doing the DS-160, I have noticed the children's passports are valid for less than 6 months (as they only had 5 year passport as they are very young).

My question is that can I obtain my L1 visa independently, and then my wife and children obtain the L2 visa a month later when the new passports for my girls are issued?

Waiting for the new passports to come though is not an option as I am needed out in the states asap.

    Appreciate any help with this.

    Thanks

    Gillyboy

      Thanks for the response Scientist2016.

I guess it will just be the same process for my wife and children to get the L2 visa? Just use the same petition number that I have used to get my L1?

      Thanks again.
