Hello,

Please let me know if I can apply for American citizenship or not?

My story:

I born outside America.My parents were green card holder.So I got green card too.
I lived in USA for some time and then left USA with my mother when I was around 2-3 years of age.
since then I have been living outside America i.e more than 25 years by now with my mother.

My father is still lives in America and he is an American citizen .

so Am I eligible to apply for USA citizenship based on a fact that my father is a USA national or not?

Your dad can apply for family based Green card under IR category over 21 years, if your unmarried but keep in mind it takes years to get it and after you get your GC back then you can apply for citizenship, But i would advice you to contact attorney and discuss your situation
