H1 to F1 visa transfer

Hello,

Currently on 5th year of h1 visa and my wife is on h4 ead. I am in US army reserve and my BCT training takes 6 months. There is a possibility my employer can revoke my H1b while I am at training.

What are my chances to stay in status if in case my Employer revokes my visa while in training ? what are the legal options for my wife to stay in the country. My wife will be in final month of pregnancy and cannot travel.

Once I finish training I am eligible to apply for naturalization, but I am very concerned about legal formalities while at training and in case I am a honorable discharge during the training.

Thanks for your detailed response. One last question, do you know the paper work I need to submit to my employer which he can show to uscis, before leaving to basic so that he can hold my h1b visa from revoking and show the documents as supporting document during uscis site visit ?

Second, if we get naturalized during basic, can my wife continue in her EAD or h4 until it expires which is in 2018 October ? or do I need to submit for some kind of status for her to legally stay in usa.
