question about returning with reentry permit

Hello.

I couldn't find the answer on the forum. Does anyone know people who were refused entry with reentry permit, or maybe asked a lot of questions about the reason of staying abroad? I know that reentry permit doesn't guarantee acceptance, but I think it's very hard to prove that someone with this document abandoned his status.
Again, question is about real cases.
