Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help clear up a bit of confusion I have.
Here is my situation--
My girlfriend of one year is currently in the j1 visa program. We recently decided we want to get married. Our plan is to get married this coming August, however, she was told by someone that after you marry a US citizen you have 90 days to submit your paperwork for a green card to USCIS. Is this a real deadline? I can't find anything about searching the web.
It was my impression from what I've read that she can submit her paperwork at anytime, just as long as it is before her j1 visa expires.
