I have an open I-751 application since Aug 2014. February 2016 was the last time I heard from USCIS, asking for further documents. In January 2016, I had an interview during which the already expired green card was taken and I was told I can have an I-551 on my passport which I renewed in 2017.
The question is: "am I still considered an LPR while the I-751 is being processed"?
This arises from my application to receive SNAP (food stamps) for which I need to be a permanent resident (http://webapps.ehs.state.ma.us/DTA/P...roductionS.htm).
I am interested to see the relevant law please as I will have a hearing soon with the DPSS.
