Can i work in another country till my EAD gets processed?

Hi Guys,

I am an Indian, currently working in Germany with company ABC, German branch on a valid Residence permit. I got married in April. My husband lives in the US and works for company ABC, US Branch. He got his L1 A approved. My question is -

1. Can I got to US on L2 (Lets say for 2 weeks), apply for my EAD, come back to Germany and continue working in Germany till my EAD gets processed?
2. Once my EAD gets approved, can i take a transfer to company ABC, US branch?

Typically one needs to be in US while EAD s being processed, as EAD is dependent on ones I94, and if one leaves US, I94 is no longer valid.
