Passed interview test but no decision made

My husband just had his interview and passed the tests. When they asked him if he has ever said he was a citizen he said yes (don't think he ever did) but on the application he put no. Are they going to deny him for bad moral character or saying he's a citizen when he's not? They had him sign some papers for his name change and the interviewing officer said he had to have his supervisor review.

Did he mess up are we screwed!
