  • Re-entry with expired re-entry permit?

My first re-entry permit was expired early in Feb. 2017. I have applied for a new one, and I have just received a notice for the biometrics on July 26th.
I am currently out of the US., so I worry that the expired reentry permit might be a problem when I go to the US this time. Has anyone tried to enter into the U.S. with the expired reentry permit? Thanks in advance!

Since you must have been in the US to apply for a re-entry permit, you have only recently left the US. If you return to the US within one year of leaving, the green card itself is a valid document for re-entry; you don't need a re-entry permit.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
