Hi, I'm seeking advice regarding the following situation:
My family member and I were admitted in the US as LPR a few months ago. While I remained in the US, my family member had to return to our homecountry. Before she left we had an appointment with an immigration officer to make sure that it was okay for her to leave before the release of the physical green card. A few weeks later the plastic card arrived in the mail but I have been hesitant to mail it to her overseas because of the sensitivity of this document. However, she plans to return to the US in a few weeks. Can she reenter the US with the temp i-551 stamp on her passport (it's written on our passports that that's valid for one year) or is this stamp voided upon the release of the physical green card?
