  • I-134, Does the Sponsor has to file I-134 for each member of the family?

    Hi guys:

    Person A = Sponsor
    Person B = Beneficiary
    Person C = Beneficiary Wife
    Person D = Beneficiary Son.

The Sponsor is filing Form I-134 for Person B and within that form it asked to list the beneficiary spouse and children which is fine.

Then I encountered this description when downloading the Form I134 from the USCIS:

    "Purpose of Form

To show that visa applicants have sponsorship and will not become public charges while in the United States. The sponsor must file a separate affidavit for each applicant."

The bolt text, does that mean the Sponsor has to file 3x of "I-134" one for Person B, one for Person C, and one for Person D? Does the beneficiary spouse and child consider as a separate applicant?
Logic tells me the Sponsor should only file 1 form but that bolt sentence kind of throw me off.

I'm assuming it is. My nephew and his family got selected from some sort of lottery visa. He asking for sponsorship to come over here. So I'm kind of stuck whether to file only 1 I-134 or to do each one for his wife and kid as well.
