i-485 status changed to "New Card is Being Produced", whereas EAD/AP not approved yet

Hi all,

I have been a silent reader in these blog, but turns out today I received a notification email/text from USCIS, as I have set up an account, that the status of my -1485 changed to "New Card is Being Produced" only to my application not Spouse yet. What does this mean?

We have been waiting to receive the EAD/AP, which is still case received on 06/22.

These are my timelines:
> 06/20/2017 -- Concurrent Filing including my dependent Spouse, with TSC (Texas Service Center) i-140, i-485, i-765, i-131, --- EB3.
> 07/05/2017 -- Cases Received from USCIS.
> 07/07/2017 -- i-140 Premium "Approved".
> 06/25/2017 -- i-485 "Fingerprint Fee Was Received".
> 06/20/2017 -- i-765, i-131 Status "Case Was Received". Never changed.
> 07/18/2017 -- Bio taken, done.
> 08/22/2017 -- SRCxxxxxxxx i-485 status changed to "New Card is Being Produced".


Questions:
Is is possible USCIS to approve i-485-GC without approving EAD/AP?
Why my Spouse's i-485 status has NOT changed yet?

We have got the same message from uscis. I hope it is positive . My Spouse and daughter also got the same message. Receipt Notice date 06/26/2017. Bios 08/01/2017. EB2. I think EAD and travel documents are no more needed once I 485 approved. This is my personal opinion.

My i485 receipt date is 7/3 (Texas Service Center) and bios done 7/18.
I140 (Eb2) was already approved with premium processing. No EAD/AP yet.

You two guys' cases were really fast. The USCIS processing time in TSC for I 485 on their web is January 2017.
Should I be hopeful for getting the same notification sometime real soon?

What category did you apply for? And was it also Texas?

Why is the message " new card"? I assume this is your first greencard application.
