US Visa for my 14 year old son

Hi all,
My son is 14 years old and wants to visit his uncle in the US along with his grandmother who holds a 10 year multiple entry Tourist Visa. She has been to the US for about 5 times in the last 10 years.

My queries are as follows;
1. How do I apply for my Sons Visa.
2. Is it possible to get a visa for a kid of 14 without his parents.
3. Do I have to go along with my son inside the Visa office in Mumbai.
4. What is the exact Visa application procedure.

Yes, it is possible to get his visa without the parents. But he must carry documents showing enrolment in school and vacation time. He must travel during actual school vacation time only, should not take special leave when the school is on, for this purpose.
He must also carry evidence of good funds in the form of parents' pay slip, bank statements, Tax returns and evidence of parents' occupation. Also, an invitation letter from his uncle and the copy of grandma's passport pages, showing visa and travel to US.

You must call VFS and find out what is the procedure for young children going alone.
