Default Can spouses simultaneously file seperateCP and AOS

    For experts at Immihelp:

Can I file AOS through my employer and at the same time my spouse file for CP (at US consulate in Canada) through her employer. Both of us have I140s approveed (EB1 category), and would like to include each other as beneficiaries in our respective applications.

Is this allowed and if yes, is it recommended?

Your inputs would be greatly appreciate

Default Can spouses simultaneously file seperateCP and AOS

    Hello VFP

Before I posted my question, I checked all the 9 pages of the CP discussion group and couldn't find a similar posting. I spent considerable time searching, but since I am a new user, maybe I missed something.

Would you be kind enough to refer me to the postings you mentioned or if you happen to know the answer, if you could help by answering it.

Any inputs from any reader would be greatly appreciated!

    Default Sure you can

My husband has applied for AOS (FP also done)
and we have a CP interview on Nov 6th through
    me.

The day one gets approved you can abandon the
    other.

    Hope this helps.
