I am new to this site and was hoping someone could explain the process to me. I just received an email stating that my petition I-129F was approved on 3/9/07. I'm not sure if my fiance should be hearing from the US consulate or if something else needs to be done first? How long does it usually take from approval of the petition until an interview date is scheduled? Thanks for any words of wisdom.....

your case will go to NVC (National Visa Center) there they will do some processing like running FBI check stuff like this this usually take 3 to 4 week and then they will transfer file to embassy and this depend on embassy how fast they can process they will send your fiance packet 3.5 and once they got check list of documents as they will mention in packet they will sechdule the interview let me know if anything else you want to know best of luck
