i did not file my i-693 along with the i-485 package and it's just fine..i did not get any rfe for that..when i got my checklist for the interview, it says i should instead just bring it on the day of the interview along with the other documents they're asking for...

I think it is a good IDEA to send in the I-693 w/the package. Unless you are not getting a doctor's appointment, you must submit it. I did that and I brought a copy of it w/me to the interview just this past monday.

my personal opinion is to submit exactly the way they ask for so that you fulfill their requirements...

    good luck

did you file at the Vermont service center? I heard the rules differ by region?

I sent mine to Chicago, then it went to Missouri. I am not sure if Vermont would be different. Again, in the interview notice, it says "bring I-693 unless already submitted"... if you submit it, and bring a copy later, it's just good preparation.
