What happens to H4 when H1 is transfered

Hi,

I am in US on H1. I am changing my job and thus getting my H1 transfered.

My family is in India and have a valid H4. My questions are,

1. Does H4 also needs to get transfered. If yes, what is the process.
2. Will they need to stamp again before travelling.

---- NO. The H4 need not be transferred when a family member holding the H4 Visa is out of the country

---- If they have a valid and unexpired Visa together with a copy of your H1 approval notice then there is no issue. At the POE they will be given an I-94 based on the validity date of your H1

---- However, if your family is going to travel overseas in the future then yes, they will be needing the Visa stamping in their respective Passports
