Default Filed on March 7th. Haven't got FP Notice Yet.

My application was received on Mar 7th by the california service center and the status reads as "Case received and pending". I still have not received the notice for the fingerprinting. Anyidea why it is getting delayed. Please share your experiences asap.
    Thanks.

    Hi LuckyJack,
Did you get a letter frm USCIS about fingerprinting or did you call them up?
Did you take an appointment using infopass for San Jose?
    Thanks

    Hi
I was about to take an infopass, but they only sent it at the right time. so i did not take the infopass.

Ok so the next step is interview. Also I heard that, for some people they do name check. is it usually done after interview or before(if at all they do it).

Oh,its bad that it is taking so long for the interview process. Anyways we have to wait.

    Thanks.

    Hi LuckyJack,
    Thanks for the reply.
Actually I received the I-797C today with a fingerprinting date. But unfortunately we will be on vacation during that time. Can I just walk in for fingerprinting or do I have to have an appointment? The local office is in San Jose.
Thanks a bunch for your reply.

    Hi All,
I heard that these days because of the coming presidential elections ,they are going expedite the processing of the citizenship applications. Is that true? If so that would be a great thing as it will make the process faster.

    Please share your thoughts.
    thanks.
