Default Can I stay untill the date mentioned in I-94 ?

hi friends... i came to US on b1/b2 category. my passport bears a visa stamp which gives the visa expiry date as 27th Sep,2007. But at the POE the officers stamped the I-94 expiry date as 25th jan, 2008. So my doubt is untill which date i can stay in US legally .i.e. date on the passport 27 th sep or 25th jan,2008 ? Hope i will get an answer .....

It would be a good idea to leave the country 2-3 days before the expiration of the I-94 though, in case of a flight delay or some other emergency that could end up in your visa being cancelled because you overstayed.
