Do we need a new appointment in this case?

Hi all,
We are sponsoring a visitor's visa for my aunt in B'lore. She was here in 1989 and stayed for 9 months. When she went for the visa, they asked her for her extention letter and requested to come back with additional documentation. No stamp on the passport, just a letter stating that they need more documents.
Now, does she need to schedule another appointment for this? What should we need to do? The online system is telling her that she needs to wait for atleast 90 days or so !!
