UK Transit Visa for travel to India and return (H1B USA and Greencard USA)

Hello,

We are travelling to India via UK SFO-LONDON-MUMBAI (Virgin Atlantic Airways). Stopover is < 24 hours. We do not intend to go out of airport or cross immigration. We are leaving by Dec 23rd and returning on that same route on Jan 20th, 2008. We have confirmed eTickets for both legs of the journey. We are Indian citizens with Indian passport.

Do we need Airside Transit Visa for any of the following below?

1) My wife: Valid H1B visa (expiry October 2008).
2) Myself: Valid permanent resident (green card) obtained November 2004 (expiry 2014).
