Agent role in GC process for CP

Hi,

I searched old archives and not found any info. What exactly does agent role involve in CP process? I am in U.S sponsoring my mom's GC and wondering if I put myself as Agent or my brother-in-law in India as Agent?

Can someone please let me know pros & cons of it.

Can someone please respond to my question. My mom can't speak english
and I wonder if they allow Agent to go with her for interview for her CP.

From the above link...it does not say anything about agent being able to go to the interview.
