Can my employer cancel H4 visa application for my spouse?

Hi,

I am working with an employer on H1B. The H4 application for my spouse has been filed by my employer (expenses borne by me) and it is under process. I have now got a much better offer and want to transfer my H1b, can my employer cause any problems and/or cancel the H4 application for my spouse?
