Default Returning home without documents for emergency

    Hello,

I am in USA on a M1 visa. My I-20 expired on the 14th of Feb and I had send the same for extension to USCIS. Presently there is some medical situation back home in India and my presence is required. I need to go back as soon as possible but i don't have my original documents with me ie. passport and I-94 as I have send the same to USCIS.

I have called USCIS and they asked me to fill G-884 form for return of original documents but still it will take 40 days. Is there any way i can get my documents or go back without them as its really important for me to go back.

I would really appreciate if u can help me.

    Regards

Why did you send your passport and I-94 for I-20 extension? You have to send the copy of I-94.

I don't know of any other option than to wait. Try talking to Indian consulate to see if they can arrange something
