Multiple petitions

If I apply for multiple petitions through different employers, do I stand a greater chance of getting myself through H1b lottery? Or does USCIS considers every application based on individuals only and not the number of application he filed.

Yes you can go for multiple petitions. No rule exists to make it illegal. But for sure you can be sued for multiple petitions as you did not act ethically by concealing that you have applied for visa through another employer. And also the employer can sue you for breach of contract for the costs and possible lost profits.
