    have u ever had an experience with a transfer student transferring from a university outside the USA to a University in the USA for an undergraduate course,i am in that shoe,and i study Physics Science at my current school but i am transferring to study atmospheric physics,i already sent in my transcript and i have a GPA of 3.0.Please am open to any advice or suggest from anyone,Thanks.

    They will evaluate you coursework and decide what is comparable to their classes. You may be required to demonstrate your knowledge with competency exams.

    You need to be aware that many universities require that the last credit hours must be taken at their university so if you transfer expecting to only have a few courses left, you may be disappointed. The university I am most familiar with requires the last 60 semester hours (approximately 2 years).

    You will also be required to meet university distribution requirements which may require additional time in addition to correcting major classes deficiencies.

    Thanks,i am just wiating on my evalauted transcript,but i have being offered admission,Now i need to know what kind of documents i need to go with to the embassy and also the likely questions for a transfer student,Thanks

    If the university is decent, the admissions/student records people will evaluate your transcripts using the original. Try to get a course description manual for your program from the institute you attended in your home country. In some cases, transfer credit evaluation may have to be performed once you are in the U.S..

    Visa questions are the same as the general ones.
