Default Travel - after applying N-400

Need your help . Thanks in Advance.

After applying for N-400 the following stages are there

    (1) Finger printing
    (2) Written test / Interview
    (3) Oath

we will be applying in July this year.

We need to travel for about 5 weeks to india around november.

I am not sure as november approaches which stage would have been completed.
If my finger printing is done can I inform them so that they donot send me the test / interview date ? What happens if finger printing is not done ? do i need to inform them so that they donot send me finger printing notice.

    Please help.

    Thanks,

You cannot inform the USCIS not to send anything. The worst thing that can happen is that you receive the notice while you are away and you may have to reschedule (either the FP or the interview). I would try to avoid it as much as I can, if it is possible.
