Hello,I would like to ask whether it is alright to apply with a full sponsoship of student visa from an american citizen who is my dad's friend?If you have an answer please reply back to me.Thank you.

Anyone can be a sponsor. But, you have to prove ties to the home country for the F1 to be granted in terms of property, blood relatives, family etc.
