Hi,

I have got admission and stamping at VIU, VA, for FALL 2008. I want to enter the US through Newjersey as my sister stays there and then I would travel to VA with her later.

Is it alright if the port of entry is different from where the school is?

Also, i would like to travel to USA 60 days before, Travel on around July 1st week 2008 however my semister starts on sep 1st week 2008.

Any replies would be appreciated.

You can only enter up to 30 days before the program starts. No exceptions, otherwise you need to apply for a B2 visa.

It is fine to enter through a different POE than where the school is at.

Can you please tell me when you had your interview (number of attempts) at which consulate and what questions were asked?
