  • H1B at Toronto

As per the new application procedures all applicants at the Toronto consulate will be required to deposit the non-refundable 45 U.S. Dollar processing fee at the Bank of Nova Scotia BEFORE THEIR APPOINTMENT at the Toronto Consulate and the receipt must be presented at the time of the visa interview.

Is the fee collected at the consulate itself or does one have to go to the bank to pay it?? I'm confused because my appointment is at 8:30 am!

Please advice and thank you for your time.

I'm answering my own query, for any similar questions! If u've an appointment at Toronto u'll receive an appt confirmation letter alongwith an OF-156 form and a receipt for the processing fee, for the payment of $45 which is supposed to be made at the Bank of Nova Scotia, at any branch in Ontario. So for all you Michiganders, payment can be made at Windsor! Info on branches can be found at www.scotibank.com

Take your receipt copy with you the day of ur appt !!
