Default Cancel EAD Renewal and request for refund

    Hi All,

I e-filed my EAD renewal yesterday afternoon and late last night I received an email stating that I 485 application has been approved and the card ordered.

Received the email at 9.30pm as it seems like the USCIS system is being updated at around this time. This is from my previous experience with the USCIS email alert.

Can I request the USCIS to refund me the EAD application fee paid through my credit card?

Can I put a dispute through my credit card?

I would appreciate any tips to apply for a refund.

    Thanks!

Default No harm in trying to ...

... talk to USCIS to cancel the application.

However, I won't advice you to dispute the credit card charges. To be honest you applied for your EAD of your own free will and now that you got the GC, you don't want it because you don't need it.

    They'll win!

    Take care.

If the GC is approved, USCIS may return it. They usually do it in paper filing cases. Since it is e-file, I am not sure. Don't dispute it though. You can let go of the 340. Think of it as celebrating your GC
